When I first approached the concept of recreating a book, in the mid ’90s, I was using existing publications as a vessel to compile other material. Eventually, I started to create new compositions. This process revealed that there was more that could be accomplished by reinterpretation. A new life could be given.

A new narrative, outcome, and ultimately a new capacity could materialize through this “cast in stone” format... Its set limitations and boundaries to expand upon and transform into a source of unsanctioned collaboration.
